The Dad’s Forum was formed in 2006 by a group of Dads from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire who have children with autism. The main purpose of the group is to enable dads to give practical support to each other with the complex task of bringing up a child with autism. The strength of the group is the depth of experience of the dads and their willingness to share information / strategies / issues / problems and solutions. The group is still fairly small and we hope this website will provide better access to information about the group and meetings, or just provide help and advice on different aspects of autism. The group have monthly meetings (usually pubs) this gives everyone the opportunity to mix with other dads in a social setting, also gives us all a night out and a break !. We also have the message board on the site which hopefully will build up overtime to provide lots of answers. We welcome all kinds of dads including granddads, step-dads, foster dads etc. to become a member of the group please contact kieren lee on
